New Video For Mika Miko's "I Got A Lot (New New New)"
Mika Miko is the best punk band in California. Most fun, most cool, and for the sake of sounding dumb, MOST PUNK. Everything about them always means fun. Their records, their live shows, their videos. Always fun. The new video is for 'I Got A Lot (New New New)' and was directed by No Age's Randy Randall with Lana Kim. FUN. Peep it please.

F'NMTV With NO AGE
So there's this new show on MTV apparently. It's hosted by Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz. (Too easy, let's not even go there.) So this show is supposed to be featuring all the "hot" new shit. It airs Fridays at 8 and this week our dear friends NO AGE will be on debuting their new video for "Eraser". Super cool/weird. Along with NO AGE premiering the vid and shooting the shit with Mr. Ashlee Simpson, that good lookin' gal Rhianna is going to be performing or some shit. And guess who else?? Maroon 5 is in the house. Welcome to bizarro world folks. For extra added bonus T.I. will be chit chatting too. Isn't he supposed to be in prison on weapons charges? Hey, does anyone remember the song, "Rubberband Man"? Man T.I. used to be tight. But I digress. Read more about this show belowwww.

NO AGE Eraser 7" And Free Downloads
Holy christmas the new NO AGE single was released last week on Sub Pop and I got my hands on mine yesterday. Lke last years releases, it rules. The A side, Eraser, is a shoegaze / punk gem. A builder with a great end. The B side has 3 covers. Nate Denver's "Don't Stand Still", The Nerve's "When You Find Out" and The Urinals' "Male Masturbation". Not a turkey in the bunch folks. (That Nerves song, by the way, in my opinion is The Nerves' best.) Oh! And you can sample and buy all these shits now on iTunes.
The 7" is a teaser for the lp, "Nouns" due May 8.
Also, in super fantastic concurring news, NO AGE have put up their cover of Bjork's "It's Oh So Quiet" and last year's "You Is My Hot Rabbit" up for FREE download on their Myspace profile. The latter has been available for free for a whiles, but I'm not sure how long the Bjork song will be available gratis. So do how you do.

NO AGE On VBS TV
Oops. I forgot to post this. The fine folks at Vice Magazine sent me this in November. I'm posting it now. NO AGE was featured on VBS.TV's Practice Space show. VBS TV is Vice's online TV channel. The feature's good so check it.
Here are some notes by Practice Space host Ryan Duffy:
"The No Age episode of Practice Space sort of felt like cheating, what with the guys being from LA and doing most of their practicing out there. But their surge of popularity and resulting tour schedule necessitated a NYC practice space as well, and the fact that they just happen to be the two nicest kids on Earth made it quite easy to find a friend willing to donate some room in his wood shop. Far be it from us to pass up a chance to hang with one of the more exciting bands in the states on a hometown technicality." -Ryan Duffy

ASR? Yuck!! But for a chance to see NO AGE? F it.
Oh man I fucking hate ASR. When it comes to our beloved city, it just turns going out into a piece of shit. I have avoided going to any related events for years now, but I will break this pattern tomorrow night. For NO AGE, and NO AGE only. NO AGE is playing at The Onyx Room for Vice Magazine's ASR party. Fuck it. I <3 NA. And Vice is cool, I guess. Believe you me, I won't be anywhere else related to this. You won't catch me or any of my dogs at...ah, who cares anyway.
And if you're not familiar with NO AGE, check our archive, cuz I posted a blog all about them with a video and links.
SOOOO. Here goes:
GO SEE NO AGE AT THE ONYX ROOM (omg) FOR THE VICE MAGAZINE PARTY. IKAH LOVE OF BOOTY BASSMENT WILL ALSO BE DOING HIS LIL' THANG. TOMORROW NIGHT, xo

NO AGE...Weirdo Rippers
NO AGE is having a YEAR. Having just released FIVE records in May, they are now on tour with Mika Miko in Europe. All the while generating more and more attention, it seems, on a weekly basis.
NO AGE is one of my favorite bands right now. So noisy, and yet so melodic. The first-listen simplicity of their sound fools you into not understanding their genius. But the more you listen it's clear that they are truly a special band. I'm not going to go so far as to say that "they are the future", because that's annoying AND corny. But they sure are a big part of mine, and should at least have chance of becoming part of yours. As you can tell, I'm not going to try and decribe their sound too much. Just listen for yourself.
On June 11, No Age released "Weirdo Rippers" on Fat Cat. It's a collection of all 5 vinyl only eps released in May 2007. They are from Los Angeles. Enjoy this video for "Boy Void".
