What in the HELL is up with this night, right? It's perfect and fun and it's in San Diego Feb 4. Vivian Girls is one of the best groops of the last couple years, every record/song they've put out has been tops. My love for Best Coast goes w/o saying. A big part of Art Fag Recordings' wild and fun 2009, Best Coast always knocks everyone's socks clear off. Dunes is (along with Pearl Harbor) the most happening new shit in Los Angeles. Art Fag is releasing a 7" in 2010 and we're kinda ecstatic. Between groops you'll be listening to punk rippers and oldies magic. $10. You can get tix here, and maybe you should cuz you never know...

San Diego's Casbah Turns 21 / Partytime

This coming Wednesday, The Casbah, San DIego's finest and most famous joint is celebrating it's 21st birthday. Art Fag Recordings and The Casbah have come together to put together a night of extreme fun. Christmas Island, Beaters, Heavy Hawaii and Nude Boy are all playing. That's like the raddest bullshit ever, but for extra added bonus, DJs Brandon Welchez, Charles Rowell and Mario Orduno (me) are playing all kinds of noise & junk between bands. It costs 6 dollars. Starts at 8:30. If you're in the Southern California area come say hello and help celebrate or whatever.

Cold Cave Tix On Sale / San Diego

San DIego Cold Cave Dec 5 tickets are now on sale and you can buy them here. They are ten bucks presale, and 12 dollars if they are still available at the door. Nite Jewel, Ale Mania and Former Ghosts are also on the bill, which is pretty nuts, right player? At The Casbah.

Knockin' Da Boots In San Diego On Saturday Night

This blogging is for the San Diegans in the house. Sooooo. Valentine's Day. Super dumb right? Sure, sure, tired topic. This Saturday my friends and I have used it as an excuse to make a super silly flier and have a real nice time.

So this is how the fun is going to play out. Yours truly will play the most syrupy, horrible and horny slow jamz of love. We're talkin' Keith Sweat, Boyz II Men, K-Ci & Jojo, etc. etc. Get it? Ok. Then Crocodiles go on. Cool. Then me again with Toni Braxton, Babyface and maybe a lil' bit o' Luther Vandross. Fuck!! The sound of a quiet storm. Music to knock boots to. Knockin' boots is rad. Then Kill Me Tomorrow go on. Pretty cool, right? Then my dear dear master Dimitri (of Booty Bassment) is playing nasty and xxx rap for the last 1.5/2 hours. Super cool.

p.s. Crocs will most likely have their extremely limited split single with Cold Cave and Blessure Grave with them. It's released by Down In The Ground and all 540 are sold out 'cep fer what you buy from the bands.
