The Best Coast 7" sold out today on the Art Fag Recordings website. The sunny orange repress is coming SOON, like a week or so. Again, the mailing list will let you know all the 411 you need, so join. Also, if you have purchased the record, you are guaranteed to receive it don't trip.

Art Fag Recordings Mailing List

2009 was a great year for us here at Art Fag Recordings. Three records we're really proud of, Ye Olde Maids LP, the 4 way split 7" and of course Best Coast's debut 7" all came out and to a great response. Admittedly, things at times got disorganized and we found it tough to to keep up and communicate properly. A lot has been worked out in order to organize better and things should be running far smoother this year. One thing we have now is a mailing list. Mailing list members will receive updates on all releases as they come in. When we have a new record ready, a repress ready, or when things are about to sell out an email will be sent. Mailing list members will always get first dibs on records one to two weeks before shops, regular mail order and distribution. Vivian Girls + Best Coast + Dunes + San Diego = FUN

What in the HELL is up with this night, right? It's perfect and fun and it's in San Diego Feb 4. Vivian Girls is one of the best groops of the last couple years, every record/song they've put out has been tops. My love for Best Coast goes w/o saying. A big part of Art Fag Recordings' wild and fun 2009, Best Coast always knocks everyone's socks clear off. Dunes is (along with Pearl Harbor) the most happening new shit in Los Angeles. Art Fag is releasing a 7" in 2010 and we're kinda ecstatic. Between groops you'll be listening to punk rippers and oldies magic. $10. You can get tix here, and maybe you should cuz you never know...

Pearl Harbor Are Cover Girls / New Jams

Our favorite California golden girls are on the cover of the new LA Record, which is kinda tight. In celebration, they'll be djing and carrying on at LA's Cha Cha tonight. Go pick it up and read if you can.

You can also zone out and trip to two new and spectacular jams on their Myspace thing. 'California Shakedown' & 'I've Got Some Happiness (Leland cover)'.

There'll be a Pearl Harbor / Art Fag release in the 2010, which is pretty chill.

The It Parade In NYLON: Dum Dum Girls & Best Coast

If you go and pick up the current and brand new issue of NYLON Magazine you'll find an article in it called 'The It Parade' and it covers 5 'leading ladies' of indie rock. 2 of these It Girls are super buds and are on the current/next three Art Fag releases, Dum DUm Girls and Best Coast. Sick! So go read and check the pics or whatever. I can't find a copy to save my life here in San Diego, but if you live in any other civilized city, you should be able to find it easily.
